We are currently
seeking a Career Services Representative for our Dartmouth Campus.
The Career Services Department is the liaison between
students and employers. Its key purpose is to facilitate the employment success
of our graduates. The successful candidate will participate as a member of a
team and will act as a career coach and placement / employment coordinator for
students and graduates.
This position may be for you if you have:
- experience in a career counseling , job coaching, placement
and /or recruitment position;
- knowledge of the Nova Scotia employment market, and
knowledge of the health care sector would be considered an asset;
- a natural ability to engage people and build relationships
over the phone, via email and in person;
- excellent computer, editing and grammatical abilities with a
keen attention to detail
- the ability to work as a member of a team with short
deadlines; and

This individual will serve as the overall Coordinator for the Program, along with providing instruction for a portion of the program. Duties will also include interacting with provincial Health Authorities regarding student practicum placements and liaising with the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA).
The successful candidate will be registered with the Canadian College of Health Information Management and be an active member of CHIMA.
