Career Services Representative - Dartmouth Campus

We are currently seeking a Career Services Representative for our Dartmouth Campus.

The Career Services Department is the liaison between students and employers. Its key purpose is to facilitate the employment success of our graduates. The successful candidate will participate as a member of a team and will act as a career coach and placement / employment coordinator for students and graduates.

This position may be for you if you have:

  • experience in a career counseling , job coaching, placement and /or recruitment position; 
  • knowledge of the Nova Scotia employment market, and knowledge of the health care sector would be considered an asset;
  • a natural ability to engage people and build relationships over the phone, via email and in person;
  • excellent computer, editing and grammatical abilities with a keen attention to detail
  • the ability to work as a member of a team with short deadlines; and
  • a genuine desire to assist others in reaching their career goals

We are hiring a Program Coordinator/Instructor for our (New Brunswick) Health Information Management Program. This individual will serve as the overall Coordinator for the Program, along with providing instruction for a portion of the program. Duties will also include interacting with provincial Health Authorities regarding student practicum placements and liaising with the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA).

The successful candidate will be registered with the Canadian College of Health Information Management and be an active member of CHIMA. The Program Coordinator/Instructor will have a baccalaureate degree or be working towards this degree and must have experience as a practicing Health Information Management professional within an institution and/or agency directly related to the health industry. Demonstrator to assist - instructor for Pharmacy Technician program

In our St. John's Campus we are seeking a Demonstrator to assist the instructor in our Pharmacy  for the Pharmacy Technician program. This position is a contract position Hours 8:30 – 12:30 (20 hour per week for eight months). Our program is designed to provide students with “hands on” skills necessary to be employed as a Pharmacy Technician in community and hospital pharmacies.  Students gain knowledge relevant to the technical and clerical aspects of the pharmacy profession including inventory maintenance, record keeping, pharmacy equipment, mathematical skills related to pharmacy and introduction to prescription preparation.

Pathophysiology Instructor - The Health Information Management Program

We are hiring a Program Coordinator/Instructor for our (New Brunswick) Health Information Management Program. This individual will serve as the overall Coordinator for the Program, along with providing instruction for a portion of the program. Duties will also include interacting with provincial Health Authorities regarding student practicum placements and liaising with the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA).

The successful candidate will be registered with the Canadian College of Health Information Management and be an active member of CHIMA. The Program Coordinator/Instructor will have a baccalaureate degree or be working towards this degree and must have experience as a practicing Health Information Management professional within an institution and/or agency directly related to the health industry. The combination of professional qualifications and experience should total six years. We require a mature individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and an interest in working with and motivating students.

Our Saint John Campus is currently seeking an instructor to teach Computer Aided Drafting and AutoCAD program to Interior Decorating students. This contract position involves providing four hours of instruction daily commencing September 14 through October 23.

•    In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD LT 2009

• Hold a valid Certified Instructor License with the Cosmetology Association of New Brunswick;
• Two to five years of continuous employment as a Certified Esthetician in a Certified Cosmetology salon or demonstrate experience as a Certified Esthetician for 2 consecutive years and have completed 2 years of post-secondary education related to instructional education, including history and philosophy of education, methods and materials in teaching, curriculum and development, measurement and evaluation in teaching and business organization and management;
