Eastern College Graduates Win Awards
Eastern
College is proud to congratulate Bronwyne Erskine (Gold status - St. John's
Campus) and Jian Wang (Silver status - Halifax Campus), both recent award winners
at the annual Canadian Payroll Association luncheons, held around the region. These awards recognize the success of
newly certified Payroll Compliance Practitioners and Certified Payroll
Managers. Bronwyne and Jian were
recognized for having the first and second highest overall marks in compulsory
payroll modules in the Atlantic Region.
The
Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) has been representing employers' payroll
interests since 1978. Professional payroll administration is mission-critical
because of the magnitude of the remuneration by employers and the breadth of
the legislative compliance requirements. The CPA's Certification Programs offer
individuals interested in beginning a career in payroll, or enhancing their
current payroll knowledge, the professional certifications that can help them
succeed in today's competitive business environment. At Eastern College, we are
proud of our programs and the success of our graduates.
Congratulations
and best wishes to Bronwyne and Jian in their new careers.

Congratulations on a Successful Career Fair at our Fredericton Campus
Wednesday, June 24, 2009

Eastern College, Fredericton Campus, held its first annual “Career Fair” on Wednesday, June 24. All current students and past graduates were invited to attend. The Career Fair proved to be a tremendous success, and we were very pleased to offer 29 local and international business contacts.
The event was held at the school from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. This allowed each student/graduate to present themselves in a professional manner to prospective employers and recruitment officers. Students were encouraged to hand out “resumes” and “business cards” and to “network” with the business guests to gain insight on their companies and future employment opportunities. Our guests were extremely impressed by the professionalism and enthusiasm of the students, as well as, the manner in which they presented themselves to the companies and their representatives.
At Eastern College we strive to assist our students in finding meaningful related employment upon completion of their program. We believe any opportunities that we can bring to our students and graduates are a definite asset to them as professionals seeking employment.
Listed below are the valued guests who participated in our Career Fair. Special thank you to each and every participant.
